Delete files in archived course

I'm trying to delete a file in an archived course.  No Delete icon appears in the toolbar and clicking on Options doesn't help nor does holding down Control.  I'm the course's Teacher.

Archive, or Concluded courses go into basically a read only state.  I like to say this is to ensure the integrity of the course should there ever be some sort of student grade appeal or just the need to see how the course actually was when it was taught.  The only way as an instructor you'll be able to make changes to that course is if an admin goes in and opens it back up by un-archiving or setting a different end date on it.

I also have that problem of not being able to delete it and this causes me to no longer be able to upload more work in my new classes since they are taking up a lot of space.
