Download subset of assignment submissions

For assignments that are large files, eg: videos, I usually download the submissions as they often don't display in SpeedGrader. 

At the moment, Canvas only downloads all submissions for an assessment, it's no possible to only download the ones for my sections. 

I teach a class with >150 students and I teach 2 sections (approx 60 students). My computer is struggling to to download them all as the zip file is 14.2GB.

Assuming it does manage to download them, I will then need to go through them manually and remove the ones that aren't mine.

Please change this function so that it is possible to filter which submissions get downloaded.

Hi @Rach123456,

You may want to speak with someone at your school/institution about how they create and enroll people in their Canvas courses.  There are ways through enrollments that they can limit you to see just your sections in the gradebook, which would probably also solve or ease your bulk assignment download issue.  I think that would likely be the easiest way to get this solved in a quick manner.

With that being said, as a Canvas admin for my institution, I can see that bulk download by section would be handy in some cases.  You can submit that as an idea to Instructure following the How do I create a new idea in the Instructure Comm... - Instructure Community - 2986 guide.  The ideas process is going through a revamp right now, so I honestly wouldn't expect super quick action on that, but it could be good for the long term.
