Downloading user info as csv file

I need a csv file containing user names, emails, and date of last login (i.e. basically all of the information under the "People" tab). Is there a way to download this info as a csv in Canvas?

Hi @etbrooks,

If you visit the New Analytics area, then choose the Students tab and hit the download (down arrow) button found there, you'll get a .zip file with 3 things inside.  One of them is students.csv, which I think contains exactly what you're looking for (along with a few other bits of info, redacted screenshot attached).

Ah, apologies, I was thinking you wanted this at a course level, not the admin level.  I don't know of a way to get that exact data at an admin/account level without combining multiple reports together in excel (or similar) with vlookups.  As an admin, you can visit any course and get the info for that specific course from New Analytics though.

Thanks Chris. I can do it by course and combine into one excel file. The only problem is that I need date of last activity or last login, as opposed to last page view, which is what the New Analytics download is giving me. Do you know if it's possible to get that info, or can I only get last page view in a csv?

Hi @etbrooks  If you go to Admin > Settings > Reports tab > Last User Access, you should hopefully be able to download what you need.  I hope that helps!
