Edit Assignment Page | UI Changes

Hi all,

Since this morning, we have noticed a small UI update when Editing Assignments. The most obvious of these changes has been that made to the Submission Type box which previously listed all submission types in a single column but now appears to have reshuffled these items.

From a workflow perspective, there has been no impact observed but as we have custom on-screen guidance assets, this change has displaced a number of these annotations.

We have not been able to find any documentation around this change and are hoping to:

1) Understand the rationale behind the change and whether it will remain in place

2) Push for more communication around changes - even small ones - so we can proactively adjust, rather than reactively fix custom assets.

@Ash_Ow Welcome! I'm seeing this change too and looking at both the Release Notes and the Deploy Notes I'm not seeing any indication of the change. I would suggest contacting Canvas Support as this may be a UI bug that they need to fix, if it wasn't an intentional change. Hope this helps!

@Ash_Ow I asked one of our awesome engineers to take a look at what you're experiencing and they confirmed this is not intentional. Please contact Canvas Support so they can triage what's going on.
