I have images embedded in questions that are in multiple question banks. When I look at the bank the images show up for me. They also show up in the student preview. When students try to take the quiz the image doesn't show up. I attached an image of what they see.

Hello @alexandra_moral
Thank you for contacting the Canvas Community. We're sorry to hear you've been experiencing issues with images not loading in your quizzes. Thank you for providing the picture and the details upfront. The broken thumbnail indicates there is an issue with the file itself or it may be a permission issue for your students. First, you should go to the files section of your course and make sure that the files themselves and the subfolders that they are housed within are published for students. Images will not appear if they are not published within the files tab itself. If that doesn't resolve the issue, it could be the images or where they are sourced. If it is not sourced within the course or question bank itself, we may need to look into that.

Because of the complexity of the issue, and the concerns for privacy, it would be best if you contacted Canvas Support directly to pinpoint the source of the issue and provide a resolution:

I'm having the same issue as Alexandra. I understand that students must have access to the images. However, this process should be imbedded in the Canvas Copy function. It's too much work to copy an assignment and then make sure the image files are in files with the correct access. Please look into updating the code for the copy function. As it is, copying an assignment requires too much work. You need to copy and then move the assignment from "imported assignments" to the correct category.
