In my course I've implemented a late day policy that Canvas does not support (adding 5 freebie late days that students can use up to 2 of per assignment before a 25% late day policy kicks in). I'm calculating this late day policy outside of Canvas. It would be nice if there were a way to export the number of late days per assignment in addition to the raw unpenalized grade scores. Is this feature already available?

@RileyDehaan In all honesty, I think this is too complicated of a late policy. It requires too much effort on your part to make it happen, and in the long run, I doubt that it makes any difference in terms of student success. Maybe just change the percentage from 25% to 15%, and not worry about counting up days?
Yep, it is more complicated (the assignments require using our lab compute cluster and part of our goal is to reduce the peak load on the cluster by spreading out the effective due date among students). What I'm asking is not whether Canvas will implement these bespoke late day policies, but whether we can export the late days alongside grades. This could be useful for external analysis more generally, even beyond implementing late day policies.
Maybe someone else can come up with the kind of data generator you want.
Since you want to stagger the students' use of your lab, have you considered creating "sections" within your course? You can place the students into sections, and then give each section a different set of dates for that assignment. (Note: "sections" are different than "groups.") That might be the solution to your scheduling issues.
For your students, keeping track of the "freebie" days might be an issue and create confusion.
