Filter speedgrader by student group doesn't work with quizzes

I created student groups that reflect the students assigned to each grader we have for a large course. This works fine for graders to grade their specific students for writing assignments. However, for quizzes, the pre-existing section assignments interfere with the student groups I created. It looks like whatever student group filter I've used most recently is filtering the students within each section, so it looks like a section only has 3 students rather than 25, etc.
