Finding global announcements accidentally closed

If a staff or student accidentally closes a global announcement, is there a way for them to put it back on their dashboard?

Hello  @shea_clare  Welcome to the Canvas Community.  Thank you for posting your question.  Unfortunately, once someone clicks on the "X" to remove a global announcement from the Dashboard, it cannot be brought back into that user's Dashboard view.

 @melanie_fraser  Welcome to the Canvas Community! It's possible that your district or school has not issued any global announcements recently. Have your colleagues told you about global announcements that they have received, but you haven't? If you have verified that, please reach out to the local eLearning department for the Broward district for additional assistance.

Where does the announcement go after it has been closed? Can instructors or students revisit the global announcement somewhere in Canvas? or does it completely disappear?

You may be able to see past Global Announcements within your Canvas environment by going to your "Account" icon in the far left-hand global navigation menu, and then selecting "Global Announcements" from the fly-out menu.  On that screen, there are two tabs: "Current" and "Recent".
