Future course

I have a teacher whose course is showing up in future courses even though it is a 1st semester course and the start/end dates are correct.

Is there anything else to check?

Has the course in question been placed in the proper Term?  The Term (set up by your school's local Canvas administrator or someone from your school's Online Learning/eLearning department) usually has start/end dates, too.  It's possible that the course got placed in a term that hasn't started yet.  Check out the section on "View Course Dates" within this Guide: How do I set details for a course?.  Here's an administrator's Guide about Term properties: How do I use the Terms page in an account?.
