GradeSync for PowerSchool in Canvas

Good afternoon all,

We are gearing up for the start of the school year. We use Canvas as our LMS and PowerSchool as our SIS. I have a few teachers who sync trades from Canvas to PowerSchool (not many as generally we find it can be troublesome at times). I have a question from a colleague I am unable to answer with regards to the TIMING of when this can be set up for the upcoming school year. 

Here is his question:

I use sync for powerschool in Canvas. Years ago you were able to set it up prior to the start of the school year, then in the last 2 years you could not set it up until the start of the school year. Do you happen to know if we can set the sync up early now, or is it still not until the 1st day of classes? 

Is anyone able to help?

@KatGorringe Welcome! Per the documentation, you cannot sync until the 1st day of the term. (In our district, we had the switchover 2 years ago from the older integration to the OneRoster integration as well and had the same issue of having to wait until the first day of classes.) Hope this helps!
