My instructor edited a quiz for one section after another section had already taken it. Now, the previous sections grades are no longer viewable in the gradebook, but can be viewed in grade history only. Is this because she changed the quiz after one group had taken it and been graded? Thoughts here?

Hi @JordanSims,
I came across this thread while doing a community clean-up. From my experience as a Cavas admin, what most likely happened here was that the teacher assigned the quiz to just the second section instead of leaving the first section and adding an additional section and leaving the original. There is a guide about what Canvas calls differentiated assignments which goes over most of this information (it's geared towards assignments and single students but also applies to quizzes and sections). Adding the original section back would restore the grades to the gradebook.
Hope this helps you and anyone else who may stumble on this thread.

I do not typically look at the grades as a student. I was not able to find anything as far as grade history (what I assumed would be a list of all grades that have been assigned to an assignment, but not necessarily the current grade). If a grade is no longer showing, are you seeing the crossed out eyeball in place of the grade? If so, then the instructor has hidden the grades and not reposted them.
