My professor apparently has Group Discussions that us students are a part of. She has divided us into mini-groups and the instructions to finding who is in our group were to login to Canvas and navigate to the People section of the left hand menu. There is not a people section on my Canvas. How do I get there?

Hi there, @ChristyHeath ...
Thanks for posting your question. It sounds like your instructor gave you instructions to the "People" page of your course, but your instructor has not made that part visible to you (it is hidden from all students in the course). Fortunately, you *should* still be able to access the group discussion from your course. If you can see the "Modules" button in your course, you may find the discussion topic listed somewhere on that page. Or, if your instructor has made the "Discussions" page visible on your course, you might find that topic listed there, too. In addition, do you have a "Groups" button displayed on the far left-hand global navigation menu? If so, look for your group listed in there and see if you can find the discussion topic listed.
How do I view my Canvas groups as a student?
Ultimately, you may need to reach out to your instructor directly to see how he/she wants you to access those group discussion topics in your course. You can contact your instructor right within Canvas...by following this Guide:
How do I get help with Canvas as a student?
Hopefully this info will be helpful to you. Good luck as you explore these options!
