How do I create different point totals for questions in Question Banks in New Quizzes?

I am creating an Item Bank in New Quizzes and running in to all sorts of problems.

If I select the "vary points by answer" response and select "2 points," all of the questions are imported as 1 point each when I try to use them in the course exam. I do see the option to change the points per question feature within the exam, but I do not want all of the questions to be worth the same total.

Some of my questions require multiple answers. Even those questions were listed as 1 point each in the import.

The assigning of points in New Quizzes Item Banks seems unnecessarily complicated.

You may need to create separate question banks depending on the number of points you want to specify for each question in each bank. 

I'd also recommend creating a feature idea in our Ideas‌ space and explain your use case. Others who are interested can also leave their feedback and vote on your idea.

Has there been any change to this answer in 2.5 years? I have some questions in my item bank that I want to be more than 1 point as it requires more answers (matching and categorization). Thanks!
