Why are we getting unneeded/useless updates to Assign To and rubrics that reduce functionality and not an extra credit setting?

Fly-out page for Assign To is unneeded and unwieldy, it's just an extra step to do the same thing

Fly-out page for rubrics in Speedgrader is unneeded and reduced functionality so much that faculty just stopped using them until the rollback

So many resources were allocated to these and not an extra credit setting? Who decided this?

Agree. The only "benefit" is we have the joy of revisiting all our in-house built resources and creating new ones.

I wanted to let you know that Instructure will be reverting things back to (close) the way they were.  This will happen on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 (timing of exactly when on Wednesday may vary).  You can read more about this here: Canvas Deploy Notes (2024-08-28) - Instructure Community - 612024 (canvaslms.com).  Hope this helps!
