@blueknight Please select the Report a Problem option in the Help menu of your Canvas Free For Teachers account to ask Canvas Support to delete the unwanted account.

I find the Canvas quite difficult. Even trying to log back into the Instructure Community. The software insists on forcing creating a new username and says that the original username is still in use. Yes, the original username does exists but I can not log into it. So each time to reply, I will have to create a new username.
The problem is not solved by as you say going reporting a problem. That was done and the original free for teacher account was deleted. But because Canvas created a free for teacher account I still back at the same problem.
I did get from Canvas support a clue. Apparently, Canvas allows multiple account to be an attached to an email and if I try to log in using the email then Canvas sends me to the Canvas created Free for Teacher account. I am told if I log in using the username I used to create student account I can reach the course. I have requested that the Canvas created Free for Teacher account be delete as well as a second username. The goal being to be able to use the email I used to create the student account to log into the course.
