How do I restrict PAPER VIEW from being used as a type of submission?

I prefer students not use Paper View as it is not as efficient to add a comment to, unlike other File Uploads.  How can I prevent the use of Paper View?

Can you please provide more details on what you mean by "paper view"?  "Paper view" isn't any Canvas terminology that I've heard of, so if you can please give an example or share a screenshot or two of what you are referring to, that would be helpful.  Thanks!

Chris, the term "Paper View" comes up when a student has typed their assignment into the text box rather than uploading it. I feel the same way as Joe: there's no way to make any annotations when the assignment comes up as "Paper View"...I have to make free-form comments in the "Comments" box rather than commenting directly on the assignment, and that's not as effective for the student. I suspect the only way to prevent students from using this procedure is to NOT check "Text Entry" when we're providing directions for submission.
