How to add a cell number in contact mettod

I tried to add a cell number in other contacts but can not do it.

Are you following the instructions in one of these Guides?

• How do I add a text (SMS) contact method in Canvas as a student?
• How do I add a text (SMS) contact method in Canvas as an instructor?

Keep in mind the bulleted "Notes" area in the light-blue box at the top of either of these Guides...especially the info about SMS.
