How to show 'Total' grades as points - not percentages?

I used to be able to do that, but can't find it as an option, now.

Did not help.    My Canvas has grades synced from Cengage and the grades in Cengage assignments are all set as points. I have 38 assignments coming into Canvas and being displayed as percentages.  they can be changed individually to be shown as points, Is there a way to have them displayed automatically as points?   I do not use weighting.

Are you asking about individual assignments listed in the Canvas Gradebook?  Or, are you asking about the "Total" column within the Canvas Gradebook?  The original question, I believe, was asking about the "Total" column, but we've not yet heard back from the author, @ldixon, to know if what I had shared earlier has answered his question or not.  (I'm not sure who may have marked my response as a "Solution".)

Within the settings, locate the option that controls how grades are displayed. This might be labeled as "Grade Display Format" or something similar.

An instructor can go to his/her course "Settings" to enable/disable a Grading Scheme (so that letter grades appear next to the total in the Grades page), but this isn't what @ldixon is asking about.  There is no "Grade Display Format" option in course "Settings".  The Guide that I provided above should help to answer the question.
