How to speed up the process of putting in different due dates for each of my sections?

Every semester, I have 3 sections of the same course and it is easier to keep them all in the same course/gradebook etc. so I only have 1 Canvas course but each section needs to have a slightly different due dates. I use the Differentiated Due Dates feature but it takes AGES to put all the due dates in every term.

I have to follow this process for EVERY single assignment:

1. Open and edit the assignment and scroll down

2. remove the Everyone option

3. choose the first section

4. add the due date

5.  click + Assign To

6. choose the second section

7. add the due date

8.  click + Assign To

9. choose the third section

10. add the due date

11. Click Save

There are soooo many clicks required for each assignment. I wish I could use the Edit Assignment Dates page to edit them all at the same time but I can't add the sections there.

Any ideas on how to speed this process up?? Thanks! 😄

@Malena_Prinzing Within Canvas, I don't think there is a faster way to do this. If you know a little bit of code, you could take a look at the Canvas API documentation to do this via API calls.
