Identifying assignments by category

Is there a way to filter assignments in the gradebook by category? For example: If I am conferencing with a student or parent, and at the end of their gradebook I see that a certain category is low, let's say their H.W. grade, is there a way to filter the gradebook so that I can see JUST their H.W. assignments? This would allow me to quickly pinpoint the problem or see any potential trends that a student is struggling with.

Hi @JasonJay ...

Yes... so when you create assignment groups on your "Assignments" page, those assignment groups show up as columns in your Gradebook (typically at the end of your Gradebook view).  If you would like to filter by those assignment groups in your Gradebook... click on "Grades", and then click on the "Apply Filters" button on the left side of the screen.  Go down to "Assignment Groups", and then select one of the assignment groups that you had created from your "Assignments" page.  This will only show those assignments in that assignment group.
