Image on Canvas page with links?

Hi everyone and thanks in advance. Is it possible to post an image to Canvas and embed multiple links? I'm thinking something like a "roadmap" with links to different sections. Being able to select different parts of an image each pointing to specific links...

@Dil You should be able to do this by creating and embedding a pdf with the relevant links, or a single slide powerpoint file, and then previewing these inline - automatically open. I'm not sure how that will play in terms of accessibility....

if you opt for pdf then I think you would have to accept full page width - you may have more flexibility in resizing an embedded powerpoint, or if you are prepared to use a single cell table to constrain the content/display.

That's impressive @Chris_Hofer - I'd not seen that, thanks - two concerns/queries

• Note: image maps will not render correctly on mobile devices. 

  • that gives us a bit of an issue if it is still true

• Any thoughts on where this approach sits with accessibility requirements - we have a penchant for visual graphic 'learning roadmaps' in our faculty, typically built as images, not at all accessible, and requiring a separate 'here's an accessible version' document
  • how would accessibility software handle @DrNufer 's approach - would we need to build in an 'accessibility escape route' ?
