In a formula question, is there any way to embed computed expressions within the question text?

Suppose I have a formula question in which there is one variable; for example, a variable "p" representing a probability. Is there any way to have the question text (not just the answer) include an expression that is dynamically computed from this variable? For example, something like this:

Suppose that a biased coin has a probability [p] of coming up heads, and [1-p] of coming up tails. What is the probability of tossing two heads in a row?

As far as I know that is not possible.  I have on occasion wanted to do something like that, but never figured out a way.  By the way your example is a very simple and excellent  explanation of your question.  I mainly use classic quizzes, but I do not think that it is possible in New Quizzes.
