Information Missing - The Multi-verse

I have so many things to post that I honestly do not know where to start.

Let's start with the fact that what is contained in this email is my opinion.

My name is Sophie Ramati. I am a student at Pasadena City College ("PCC"). This is factual.

Now let's talk about PCC.

Thus far, in the Summer 2025 semester and the Fall 2025 semester I have lost all the classes I signed up for. This is factual.

Let's examine this.

In the Summer of 2025 semester, I was kicked out of the two English courses I registered for without explanation. I never spoke to the professors. I never contacted anyone. I just registered for the two courses and was kicked out. Bye bye summer courses.  No information. No explanation. Nothing.

Now in the Fall of 2025 semester, I was kicked out of the Poetry class I registered for. Since there was no email address to send to the teacher from this site, I sent the teacher an email after researching his email address from another site asking why I was no longer in the class. No response. No explanation. Nothing.

As for the English 1B class, Professor Walter wrote me an email forbidding me to do work ahead of the due date. She did not distinguish between Assignments and Discussions in her emails. I have all the emails. She, by implication, threatened me for doing work ahead of time. No one except Professor Walter has done this in any course that I have taken at PCC. Lucky me. I had to drop that class because I needed to be able to do the work ahead of the actual due date due to the fact that I would have not available internet on the due dates.

So I drop English 1B. Only after I drop the class does Professor Walter come back and say it's ok to work ahead for Discussions. Too late. Another lost class over an unreasonable response to an excellent student.

I have 52 credits so far. 52. Straight As. Can you imagine? It's true. But I had to drop Professor Walter's class because she does not like the fact that I hand in work early. Such is the life of a PCC student in the English Department.

So, where are we now? No classes for two straight semesters--Summer 2025 and Fall 2025. What an educational institution! PCC is supposed to be a community college. I don't see much community in this college.

Do I have emails to send to people who can help me with these issues? No.

Do I have any email addresses that I can send emails to anyone in the entire English Department? No.

Do I have any email addresses for any professors in any courses I wish to take at PCC? No.

Do I have any email addresses for the administration at PCC that I can send emails to about these problems? No.

Do I have email addresses for anyone who works at Canvas or this site? No.

I have nothing.

Oh, but it gets better. Much better.

I am supposed to have an advisor on my educational program.

It's a phantom advisor. Memoirs of an invisible advisor.

Multiple times it has taken a tremendous effort to even get my advisor to respond to me by email.

The advisor does not advise for the most part.

I switched my major to English.

I told my advisor this fact 4 times.

So far, the advisor has made no changes to my "Educational Plan" on this site.

I have no precise information from my appointed advisor on how I can get my Associates Degree in English.

I have no precise information from my appointed advisor on the courses I need to still take to get an Associates Degree in English.

I have concluded that my advisor may actually be lost in the multi-verse.

My definition of an advisor is, well, to advise. I guess that's not the case any more. The new and latest form of advisor does as little as possible all the time.  Great job if you can get it.

And who at PCC tracks these advisors to see if they are doing their job?

No one.

And who at PCC tracks the English Department to figure out why they keep evicting me from classes?

No one.

And who at PCC cares that I am dealing with all these issues?

No one.

Now let's discuss Lancer Point.

I have been trying to figure out Lancer Point for three (3) years.

So far, Lancer Point continues to remain a mystery.

I know more about Quantum Physics than I do about Lancer Point and I am an English major.

How do I email anyone from Lancer Point?

No information because....you guessed it.......there are no email addresses.

Finding information on Lancer Point is like being on a treasure hunt for hidden treasure in the dead zone of the Pacific Ocean. So far, I am not finding any treasure. I am just experiencing continuous confusion.

Lancer Point is excellent at providing headings and different categories. There are so many categories, I cannot keep track of them.

What Lancer Point fails to provide is advisors. It does not want human beings involved.

Lancer Point just wants headings and categories. It wants to pretend we are learning something about navigating the site by having so many headings and categories, one can never fully know if something is missing from the site or is on the site under some mysterious heading or category.

I cannot graduate from PCC because of all these issues. I want to graduate just in case you didn't know that.

However, I do not want to have to take 80 credits worth of courses and still not graduate with an Associates Degree in English ("AA"). A college only accepts 70 credits from PCC.

I think that perhaps there may be a simple explanation for all of this confusion about an educational plan for me. Maybe PCC wants us to never understand how to get an AA so that we keep spending money on courses that we do not need.

Eventually, perhaps, after discovering we are being led to overspend by PCC, we may decide to leave and enter the multi-verse--just to get away from it all.

Of course once we actually do enter the multi-verse, we may finally find and have a meaningful conversation with our appointed advisor, who, as you all know, fled to the multi-verse a long time ago.

Greetings @SophieRamati

It sounds like you've encountered some hurdles in your academic journey lately and we're so sorry to hear that. You've posted in the Community for Canvas when it sounds like you need to reach out directly to Student Services at your school.  I found https://pasadena.edu/academics/support/index.php online - you might want to begin with their counseling resources listed on that page?

Best of luck and hoping you reach your graduation goal soon.
