Is There an Option to Personalize the Inbox?

I've received a few complaints from instructors about the Canvas inbox filters. Specifically, the inability to set their inbox to only show incoming messages for a course or courses during the semester they are currently teaching. While in the inbox, they have the ability to filter incoming messages by course, but there's no apparent way to get that course to "stick" so when they come back to the inbox, it stays on that course. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you!
