Issues with exporting cvs file

I have issues exporting grades from the gradebook. The exported CSV file does not look correct and places all data into one cell. The sheet does not have a column heading with a series of grades below. Each student's name is followed by one cell with a huge jumble of characters. If you may help, I appreciate it.

I just exported my course sandbox Gradebook to a CSV file, and it worked as expected.  I was able to open up the CSV file in Microsoft Excel, and everything was organized in rows and columns as expected.  Have you tried opening your CSV file in something like Google Sheets to see if you could view the data better there instead of on your computer?  It might be something to try.  Keep us posted...thanks!

Thanks for the reply. Yes, when I opened it in Google Sheets, it worked. Thanks a lot. I have never thought about that. But I do not see why it does not work with MS Excel. Anyway. Thank you so much.
