I had my Your Say submission done- wen to edit it when I got to school this morning (now on a Chromebook and it's GONE! I had looked at it at home 30 minutes prior on my Mac book at home. WHERE CAN I RECOVER THAT 300+ WORD SUBMISSION??????
There were no guides when I looked. I am a student enrolled in the teacher prep program. I have logged off and back onto the platform from my school chrome book.
@HollySchneider ...
I am sorry to read about your assignment. I am not sure if you'll be able to get it back or not. There are two things I would recommend to do as soon as possible:
Hopefully you'll be able to get some help soon and ultimately find your work. Good luck as you have these conversations!
And I never heard back. I just got an email asking me to accept your response as a solution.
o/w. Nada. Not a single response. This will certainly inform as I get through this platform, however. Thank you.

@HollySchneider ...
Sorry to hear about this. Hopefully you've been able to talk with your instructor to figure out how you could get your work submitted properly. Good luck to you the rest of the semester!
Hi there, Chris! I simply had to do the assignment again.
It wasted scads of time. If you are Community Coach, perhaps you can forward the troubles listed here to Canvas?
@HollySchneider ...
Ugh! Sorry to read that you had to do the assignment again. I am not sure if you had a chance to contact the Canvas Help Desk or not, so I'm not sure if they had any suggestions for you. It would be best for you to contact them directly rather than me being the "go between" to contact support. Since you were the one who experienced troubles with this, they would be able to better help you than going through me. Hope that makes sense.
One thing I've seen suggested several times for students is when you have a lengthy written assignment to turn in, maybe compose all of it offline in a Word document or other word processor application on your computer. Then, depending on how your instructor wants it submitted, you can either attach that document to the assignment, or you can copy/paste the text from your document into the assignment. Here are a couple Guides on how you could do that:
Hope this will help!
Thank you for YOUR response, Chris.
As I had mentioned, not a peep from the help desk. Nada. I have definitely done and saved work in other docs but, unfortunately, the Your Say assignments must be typed and turned in directly on the platform. I truly will be grateful when I am done with this hoop jumping.
Thanks again!!
Holly
Still no word from the help desk from going on 12 hours. Other than they got it and a ticket was created. I am liking this platform less and less. Yesterday I had a Buncee link to submit an assignment and I had to create a separate word doc to be able to upload something, o/w could not submit! Absurd. Then this today? I am weeping on my keyboard!
