I teach Independent Studies. I have 45 course that I fascilitate. I have a canvas tile for each class. I now have put all these tiles onto 1 tile so I load the student once and they have access to all 45 classes on that one tile. It works great for just a home page, having the students able to access the tests, etc. However, I am trying to load an LTi google doc into each separate class so that the students can all access google homework template we built for them (that is the LTi I am trying to load for each class). I am doing this the way I have normally done it: I go to the assignment tab and add a new assignment..............however, this is just so slow and it is not allowing me to load anymore assignments because maybe I have too many assignments in this one tile for all my classes??? It must be too bogged down to accept another LTi???
Thanks,
Chad
I'm not sure if this is the issue, but searching for Google LTI limits, I found this: https://support.google.com/edu/assignments/answer/10039116?hl=en
Assuming that by saying you put "all these tiles onto 1 tile" you mean that you joined the 45 classes into a single Canvas class, do you now have over 1,000 members in the course?
Hi @ChadStoner,
For the combining that you did, are you in any way using multiple sections within the same course?
If you are using multiple sections in the same course, are you trying to assign a Google Doc/Assignment to one (or more) sections?
If that is what you are trying to do, you should be able to use the "Assign" area to assign the Google Doc/Assignment to one (or more) sections.
I think we need more information (or more clarity) to be able to help you.
