Could you please describe how you are seeing how your assignments are "locked"? If possible, could you share a screenshot (being careful not to show any student identifying information)? I did a quick search here in the Community for topics about locked assignments, and I came across this discussion:
Assignment Is Showing As "Locked"
I'm not sure if any of the posts in that topic will be of help, but I wanted to share that as well...just in case.
