Module Access to Individual Students/Zoom and Skype Link

Hi Canvas Community!

I'm a new teacher using Canvas and I'm creating my own curriculum. Two Questions:

Question 1

I have a few modules (agenda, concepts) that I want ALL of my students to have access to when they are enrolled. 

After the first lesson is introduced, I want to give them access. Once completed, I can allow them move onto new lesson and so forth

However, I do have students moving at different paces. It's not a full class but private individual lessons with each student. 

I also have small groups (ranging from 2-10 people) that I need to set up too.

Question 2

If I use Zoom or Skype, can they be linked in? If I am going over a module, page, or quizzes?

Hi,  @aslwithandrew . Welcome to Canvas! If I understand your first scenario correctly, I believe you may be able to use module requirements (located in the module settings) to accomplish this. Check out How do I edit a module? 

I'm afraid I don't understand your second question fully. Are you asking if you can share a link to Zoom / Skype with students in Canvas or something else?

Let me try to rephrase the both scenarios:

1)  I have a few modules (agenda, concepts) that I want ALL of my students to have access to when they are first enrolled. This is not a "class" with all students together as one. I do private lessons with each student. After a student completes the first lesson, they can move onto new lesson and so forth. I understand that I can add a prerequisite/requirement. Can I also have the option of "unlocking" a new module to that one student rather than everyone seeing it? I want to be able to keep track of each student's progress and know where we left off on. Also, I have a quiz for each module, that I can't figure out how to set a requirement to view all content within the module before taking the quiz. 

2) I attempted to use Zoom and was able to share the screen while viewing Canvas. Is this how it should work? I saw a post that Canvas and Zoom can be linked together? Not sure...

Hi,  @aslwithandrew . Sorry that is has taken a while to get back to you. Thank you very much for that additional explanation. While you can't control module availability at the individual student level of granularity, you can "differentiate" assignments, quizzes, and graded discussions to course sections or individual students. So in this scenario, students would see the modules and content pages, but not the differentiated items until you add them to the items.

Question: I looked all over Canvas and I can't solve this problem. Having difficulty getting my students enrolled in my course. I'm a new teacher and I created a new course. I followed all the instructions. I already verified my email address, published the course, set valid dates, resent invitation. I get this message below. Not sure what I'm not getting right? (When I try to resend invite: "Invitations aren't sent until the course is published")

Hmm, that's interesting. It sounds like someone else is having a similar problem. Let's continue this discussion at My course is published but doesn't show up for new users, only previously enrolled users.
