There are several ways to set up this assignment on Canvas
You can upload various document types (e.g. PDF, Word Doc) that are supported and can be previewed by Canvas
This option allows students to use the built-in annotation tools to draw, type, and annotate directly on the uploaded document

- Create a restricted Word document or Fillable PDF
The Word document format is the easiest document type for students to edit. It also offers the option to create restricted documents where only specific portions are editable.
You can learn how to do it by visiting the following link:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/office/allow-changes-to-parts-of-a-protected-document-187ed01c-8...
Alternatively, if you have access to Adobe Acrobat Pro, you can create a fillable PDF: https://youtu.be/-W9uFiKLXaE?si=pZs9TVTrT92_oKpf&t=105
You can recreate the evaluation table and questions as quiz questions
For example
Q1: (Source 1) - What source did you use? (Essay type)
Q2: (Source 1) - is it a primary source? (Multiple Choice type)
Q3: (Source 1) - Accountability (Multiple Choice type)
Hope it helps 😁
