CANVAS developers and systems administrators:
Why is there still no native support or toggle for a "dark mode" within CANVAS? I'm not sure what platform or tools CANVAS has been built on, but I do know that after searching for no more than 5 minutes, this request dates back to at least 2018. There seems to be no resolution, aside from using browser extension-based tools.
If the mobile application can have native support, why can't the desktop version also have it? Furthermore, why is there no actual desktop application?
I've become moderately tech-savvy over the years as I've used Blackboard / CANVAS, and at this point, I'm not sure why there has been an apparent disregard for these requests. The system is robust and works well, and this is not something that I can wrap my head around. It is physically painful for me to do work in this program/suite due to bilateral astigmatism.
A simple toggle like something found on the top left corner of mkbhd.com would be perfect. CANVAS IT, please address this already!

Hello @dcgorman - this is the second post on the topic in the past few months. Currently Instructure is revamping the suggestion process, which is probably leading to the posting of product suggestion ideas here in the discussion forum. As for a short term solution, although this below is not integrated within Canvas, I have suggested to others to explore the browser extensions such as this here:

While not perfect, it may be much nicer for you than the default view.
Have a great day! ~ Jeff
