There is no assignment tab in my canvas, and I just finished an assignment (from the educ class) and I got a grade for it. But it says " 🚫 not submitted". I'm so confused.
Solved! Go to Solution.
To me, it seems that since your teacher used an "External Tool", Canvas has not received submission information from that external tool, but your teacher has marked your submission, and you have received full points.
Did you use to have an Assignment left menu item, and did you submit your assignment through it? What are you clicking on to see the "🚫 not submitted" message? Could you share screenshots?
Hi @JulianneWoody ...
Often times, instructors will hide the "Assignments" course navigation menu on the left-hand side of your screen. Then, instructors will direct their students to the "Modules" course navigation button on the left-hand side of your course. Instructors build the layout of the course using the "Modules" page. For example, instructors may have several modules organized by week, lesson, learning plan, etc. So, I would encourage you to check your course to see if you have a "Modules" page available to you. Hopefully, your assignments will be listed on that page. If not, then you should contact your instructor to inquire about your assignments. You can contact your instructor by following the steps in this Guide: How do I get help with Canvas as a student?.
I hope this will be of help to you. Good luck!

Okay! I was just so worried about it! I was worried that I must do something, or did something wrong- because I could not find any "submission " button.
I shall trust you. Thank you.
@JulianneWoody ...
I highly, HIGHLY suggest that you reach out to your instructor to confirm this. Neither @VPundir nor I have access to your school's Canvas environment or any of your Canvas courses. Even though you have provided some screenshots from your mobile device, it would be best to check with your instructor to make sure you've fulfilled the requirements for the assignment. There are options in these Guides to reach out to your instructor:
Good luck!
