Old Quizes to New Quizes Migration - when?

From Training Module 4 - the module provides two dates: 2024 and never. Per the quiz, this must have happened in the summer of 2022.

The self-assessment quiz claims summer 2022. 

The quiz is apparently not synched up with latest thinking....

From the self-assessment:

Classic Quizzes must be migrated over to New Quizzes by summer of 2022.

It is important to note that Classic Quizzes will be operational until early 2024. Please migrate your Classic Quizzes into New Quizzes as soon as possible.

Elimination of the Deadline for Switching to New Quizzes

During a recent call with some of our university customers I heard, “reasons to switch to New Quizzes should be compelling, not compulsory.” I couldn’t agree more. We want our customers to use New Quizzes because it is the best solution available for achieving positive assessment outcomes, not because of arbitrary deadlines. So we are removing the deadline to switch to New Quizzes

Are you asking when the transition from Classic Quizzes to New Quizzes will take place?  I'm not sure if you are familiar with this area of the Community, but there are lots of resources for you to look through at: New Quizzes Hub - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com).

You may have done this already, but I'd encourage you to have conversations with your Canvas administrator(s) or folks from your school's Online Learning / eLearning / Distance Education department about their timeline to transition to New Quizzes.  They may already have some plans in place to make sure your transition goes as smoothly as possible.  I know some schools have already made the move...while others have not.  Yet, there are other schools that are letting their instructors choose whether or not they want to start using New Quizzes in their courses.

Hopefully you'll be able to gather some information about New Quizzes so that you have time to plan ahead.  Good luck in those conversations!
