Canvas: Grades Page
Overlapping Content or Cut Off Content
(the Canvas UI looks sloppy at all widths on desktop)
To Reproduce This Bug:
Use a desktop computer and browser
(e.g. 13 Macbook Air and Firefox Browser)
Go to the Grades Page for a Class
At wide window widths, note that the right hand side of the page has the summary of the grade for the class but it **overlaps with the main content** of the page
- OR -
At narrower widths, note that the fractions for points earned over points possible are **off the page** and you need to **scroll horizontally** to see the full score.
There is no way, except maybe wider than possible on a 13" display to not have content overlap or get pushed off screen to the right.
SOLUTION: Report this but and fix the responsive views for all the common widths so that content does not overlap or extend beyond the viewport
NOT A SOLUTION: Do not mark this as solved by telling me to get a different computer, use a different browser, or any other version of "go away"
THIS IS SLOPPY and Canvas is not free, open source software but it looks like it is. If it were free to my university I would be more forgiving.

@james_whalley, from prior conversations that I have had with Instructure Support and my CSM (which has changed several times since we started as a Instructure customer in February 2018), I have been told to consider the web browser versions that are documented in the What are the browser and computer requirements for Instructure products? - Instructure Community - ... support article as the minimal web browser versions that are supported.
The reasons for this are:
- web browsers are updated too often
- which I disagree with because full web browser versions are released approximately every month for each web browser (with the exception of Safari which changes whenever Apple updates macOS and iOS/iPadOS in September/October)
- the timing is on a documented cadence for each web browser
- Instructure does not update support articles that have been already established as often as customers may like (I believe that this support article should be an exception and should be updated at least every three weeks)
@ARD2 did mention in their original post/question that this is happening in Firefox. I was also able to duplicate the problem with Firefox with a 16" screen but with a Firefox web browser window that is smaller.
@ARD2, have you reported this directly to Canvas Support? If you have not, I would recommend that you do or that you work with the appropriate individuals or area of your institution to do that.
