Within the past several months, students who have not submitted assignments are being denied access to peer reviews in my classes. In the past, once I manually assigned them (because Canvas will not automatically assign them to students with no submissions), the students were able to access and provide feedback on their peers' papers. Now, they're unable to participate at all. They are missing out on the experience of providing feedback and are losing points when the reviews are part of the assignment grade.
Is there a fix for this? In addition, can a function be added that allows instructors to choose whether or not students without submissions can be automatically assigned peer reviews so it will not have to be done manually?
