Pop up messages cover up action buttons. Make them smaller?

Can you make the pop-up messages smaller, so they don't cover up actions on the page?

For example, when archiving a messages from the Canvas Inbox, a pop-up message appears (""Messages archived!"). Great! Love it! But the message covers up the "archive" button, and I have to wait for it to go away before I can archive the next message.

Similar pop-up buttons show up when sending messages, and in the Speed Grader, slowing down the grading process.

The short answer is no, you cannot just change the size of the pop-up action messages to become a smaller size on your screen. I have to agree, the size of the message that displays can be an inconvenience at times.
