I have come across several instances of teachers reaching out after creating a quiz, sharing the quiz with another teacher using "send to" and then the recipient can see it in their 'shared with me" content, but when we try to import it into a course, it never comes over. Right now the only workaround is having the originator of the quiz export the quiz, email the zip file to the recipient, and supporting the recipient in importing. But honestly, that only works 50% of the time. I couldn't get it to work for myself, but it worked for others. These two teachers do not share a collaborative course, so that is not an option. They do not have the ability to add this to the commons.

Hi @JillianMoore2 and @andrew_ippolito,
It appears there is now a known issue article about this: [OPEN] Attempting to import a new quiz that was sh... - Instructure Community - 613677. Since that issue article now exists, I'd suggest monitoring it for the latest updates form Instructure. The article will generally be updated when a fix is going to be released.
Hope this helps!

I'm dealing with a similar issue. I had another faculty colleague share a New Quiz with me that contained 53 questions. I saw it show up under "Shared Content", and I was able to walk through the Import process. The system indicated it was underway. But When I go to the course it was copied into, there's nothing there. We tried renaming it (I read that it might not work if there was a similarly named quiz that was then deleted). That didn't work.
When I click the preview button, the screen remains blank.
If anyone has figured this out please let me know. I do know that the workaround would be for my colleague to export the quiz and send me the QTI, but that's a lot more work than it needs to be.
