I am an instructor of an introductory Bio class and I have imported my class from a prior semester. As I have been modifying my quizzes, I have noticed that the questions I remove from a particular quiz seem to also be removed from the test banks. I do not want them to do that, as I will need them for other quizzes. My test bank is a jumble of all quiz questions, so maybe I am just missing it, but I wanted to check if this is supposed to happen. Also, If anyone knows how to search for particular questions based on a key word, I'd love to know it!
Thanks!

That's ok! It's probably in your "Unfiled Questions" folder in the bank. It wouldn't be deleted after deleting it from the quiz itself. There isn't an easy way to find a question in there except that I use control+F to search for a word in the question after I've opened the bank.
That said, if you're using the same questions year after year, it could help you to file those questions into folders by topic (or unit, or standard...) to help you find them more quickly in the future!
@CatBartlett - could you tell me, are you using New Quizzes or Classic Quizzes? That will help me answer your question. When you remove it from the test, they should not be disappearing. However, you may be deleting the question entirely depending on what quiz engine you're using and how you're removing the question.
Hi! I am using classic quizzes. While I am in "edit" for the quiz, I click on the X and delete the question from the quiz. In the past I thought that it still remained in the question bank. Though it does just say "delete this question" 😬
Thanks!

Thank you! I will try the control+F for searching- I hadn't heard of that. Most of my questions are in the unfiled questions folder; I should definitely organize them. 😀
Pressing "Ctrl" & "F" together is standard for searching. Try this in Word, your browser, etc 🙂
P.S. If you are wondering, the F is for "Find".
Well, that's a little embarrassing- but good to know, thanks!
