Quiz/test Monitoring
Can teachers see if students have different web browsers open during a quiz/test (for example, if they are taking the test on safari but they have google chrome open)? Or can teachers just see different tabs open on the web browser that they are talking the test/quiz on?

Canvas does not include this functionality, but there is a paid third-party tool that does a most excellent job of stopping students from navigating to another website, opening new browsers etc. It is priced so that even small schools can afford it, and it is easy for both students and teachers to use. Check it out at Respondus Lockdown Browser.
They even have a Monitor feature that video records the students and their near environment during testing.
Good luck,
Kelley
