Hi Community,
I've a question bank of 40 questions, with 4 questions attached to 1 scenario (1 set). In total, I have 10 sets in my bank.
I want to set up an assessment that has 20 questions (5 sets).
How can I randomize the 5 sets that each candidate sees, from the 10 sets in my question bank?
I can only randomize the questions within each set, but can't find a way to randomize the set.
Please let know if you have any ideas on how to achieve this. Thank you!
Regards,
Darius

If I understand your question correctly, @FLSG2024., you have 10 groups of 4 questions each and want to set up a quiz where each student gets 5 of those groups, randomly assigned. New Quizzes has an option to shuffle all of the questions within a quiz, but that's a similar level of randomization that both classic and New Quizzes has (randomizing the questions within a Question Bank or Item Bank). I think you're looking to do another level of randomization.
I'm not sure that's currently possible within either Canvas quiz tools, so the best option I can suggest is to propose an improvement to New Quizzes to do this (Instructure is no longer developing classic quizzes). You can find out more about the process to suggest improvements on the page How do Ideas and Themes work in the Instructure Community?
I would love to see what others in the Community come up with on this one.
