Reading a forum post in context

When I am grading an individual student's discussion posts in SpeedGrader, I would like to do two things: first, be able to click on a particular post and see it in the context of the overall discussion (for example, to see what post the poster is replying to with this particular post); second, I would like to be able to tell whether a given post starts a new thread or is a response in an already existing thread. It doesn't seem that I can do either one though I could do both in Blackboard.

You are correct, @plato about the lack of context within the SpeedGrader view. What I do is open the discussion in a separate tab to view posts in context. I use the browser's find function to find keywords in the response (I find it easier than searching for the author, looking for a post from search results, and then selecting the post to see it in context).
When Idea Conversations reopens, I hope you decide to suggest that SpeedGrader make it easier to display posts in context.
