Removing unused courses from Calendars?

Jump to solution

Does anyone know who to remove courses from the Calendar? Or hide them?

We have a number of test courses that we would like to not see in the Calendar.

Hi TASHA,

If you are in your Calendar view in Canvas all you should need to do is click on the colored square next to the name of the course on the right side of the screen. By doing so you're essentially hiding it from your calendar view and if you ever need to add it back you can.

Hope this helps.

Is there a way to actually remove these courses from the calendar though? If I have an admin looking at 100 courses a semester, the calendar is going to get crowded quickly.

As an instructor who teaching 10-12 courses a year, with development shells, and archive shells, in my first 6 months using it, the calendar is overcrowded. Would love to be able to not have them listed on the right, even if they are not appearing on my calendar. #hateclutter

I have removed the courses from the course list but they still show in the calendar menu. Ditto to Brent's post, please give a hide/ remove option for staff.

wow, so easy all that time, but I had no idea the colored squares themselves were clickable!

I had synced my calendar with my Apple and Google calendars and was getting events from courses I'm not actually participating in syncing across all of my devices-- very annoying and confusing...

Thanks for your help!!
