Roll Call Attendance Reset after quarter

We are using roll call attendance as a grade for our semester classes.  However, our grades are determined by quarters.  How can we set roll call attendance to reflect on this quarter's attendance?

Thanks for posting this in the Canvas Community. 

With Roll Call Attendance tool, I believe that it will only collect a running total for as long as the course is active and in session. Someone from the community might be able to correct me on this....

I know you can run a report for the dates of the different quarters class was in session to see what the attendance was at that point in time. One thing I thought of was that you could set up some "No Submission" assignments for each quarter and manually enter the attendance score for the previous quarters. This would create a column in the gradebook, which will allow you to separate attendance scores for the different quarters.
