Searching discussions - how to find all where a person has replied

How do I get a list of all discussion threads where a particular person/student has replied? Currently, it seems I can only search the title and authors, not people who have replied or responded in a discussion.

I believe you can view all of the discussion threads within a discussion topic by a particular person/student within the speedgrader. If you select a discussion topic and select the three dots there is an option to open in speedgrader. When you select a person/student then you should see that student's response and if they have multiple responses it will name and link the specific thread they responded to along with their actual response. If they responded to more than one you will need to scroll down to view the next response they have and it will name and link the specific thread as well.

Thanks for the info.  This helpful when a topic is being graded. Within a discussion topic, Iam able to search by the author (any person who has responded) even if the topic is not being graded. I was looking for the same across all discussion topics. I want to know what discussion topics a particular student has responded to. Seach across all topics only searches the title and the original author of the topic. It will be great if there is a way to include respondents.

Currently, I do not believe the search feature in either the "classic" discussions the new redesign discussions have the search across all discussion topics. I agree this would be very helpful. I suggest submitting a Canvas Idea/Theme for this. 

Update: I reviewed the previous changes to discussions. This feature was added, but for some reason it is no longer working. I tried playing around in both "classic" discussions and the new redesign discussions. Not sure why this isn't working when searching for authors. @CommunityForums can you please look into this?

I can see how this would be helpful! 

I just wanted to add that I do know that you could look at "some" of that information with New analytics. However, it seems a bit limited. The individual access report also shows some details of this, but again..it is limited. 

I did some searching in the ideas page and located THIS older post on a feature that describes essentially what you are asking for.
