Separating assignments into new categories after course completion

To do some analysis of previous courses I would like to regroup grades into separate categories that were not established originally. (I grouped all as "Assignments" but now would like to break the labs out into a separate "Labs" category.) Any way that might be possible?

Hi @daughtreyh
You should be able to go back to the Assignments area, create a new "Labs" Assignment Group (which is a category for assignments), then edit the individual assignment settings to change the Assignment Group to "Labs" and save.
However, if the course is set to use Term dates or Course dates, and the end date for the course has passed, the course will be in "read only" mode, and you may need to get the local Canvas admin at your school to assist (by either adjusting the end date, or editing the assignment settings for you).
