Simple numerical grades in gradebook

I'm trying to configure the gradebooks for my courses to sum up the grades from the constituent assignments without showing a percentage or letter grade. 

Something like:

Student       Assignment 1     Assignment 2     Assignment 3… Total of Assignments

John                      13                     16                            10                          39

Mary                       9                     12                              0                          21

Sam                       16                     11                             14                          41

Is this scheme possible within Canvas? I've tried several gradebook features, but nothing I've tried thus far has given me the results I'm looking for.

If that "Total of Assignments" column is the Assignment Group grade, that does not seem to be possible in the Instructor's gradebook.

But:

• In the instructor's gradebook view, you can see the total points by clicking in the cell (which suggests a userscript could be used to swap the tooltip with the cell value):

A couple of other options for you:

• Hide the letter grade but display the total score: Disable the grading scheme in your course's settings. Doing so will remove Canvas' ability to assign a letter grade to the point/percentage earned by the student. You may wish to enable it again, though, when it's time to turn in grades at the end of the semester.
• Hide the Total score entirely: This will remove from student view the percentage/total points earned as well as the letter grade associated with it. This is done by checking the box next to "Hide totals in student grades summary" which is found in the random list at the bottom of your course's Settings page. Note that this will also hide their scores for each assignment group as well.
