It would be great if items were sorted by their description when importing them from another course under the Settings tab. Right now, there does not appear to be any logical order, which can make it difficult to find a particular item.
It almost sounds like you're suggesting an improvement to the current Canvas interface. If that is the case, you can submit this as a Feature Idea by following the instructions in these documents:
