I just posted a question titled "Doodle Polls?"--but I don't think Doodle will work.
I need to create a signup sheet for my online Public Speaking class speeches. The sheet needs to contain spaces/lines where students enter their names on a particular time slot on a particular date...but everyone in the class needs to see the other students' names so they know what dates and time-slots are available. Does anyone have any ideas of how I could create such a thing, or if I could create it using one of the Canvas apps? (Canvas quizzes/surveys won't work...unless they have a feature I'm not seeing.....)
Hi @jmerriam,
I know some teachers at my institution will sometimes use collaborations (google docs for us) for this purpose. You can set up the document with all of the options, and students would put their name on an an appropriate line. This works well for higher-ed, as students are generally familiar with collaborative docs and know not to mess up other's entires. If you're in a situation where students are not familiar with the concept or may not use it in the desired way, this may not work as well for you. Just wanted to throw it out there as an option.
