You can find all of the system and browser requirements for Canvas at What are the browser and computer requirements for Instructure products?.  I typically recommend using either and up-to-date version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox as your browser of choice.  Although, I have also had good experiences using an up-to-date version of the Microsoft Edge browser, too.

When you click on the link I've provided, under the section of "Is My Browser up to Date?", it will run a browser check on the browser you're currently using to see if it is up-to-date or not.

The guide that @Chris_Hofer shared is the best resource to use.

Two things to note:

1. The guide does say, "Instructure products support the current and previous major releases of the following browsers" but depending on the timing, the list of web browser versions may not be completely accurate (Google, Microsoft, and Mozilla typically update to a full version every month but the timing varies for each web browser).  In my experience, the versions documented are not regularly updated so they could be a month or two behind.  Because of that, I recommend treating the versions that are documented as a minimum for what is currently supported but anything more recent (a higher version) is also fine.
2. Something to note about the "Is My Browser up to Date?" that was mentioned. You will not see this area unless you first click on the "I Accept" button in the lower-left corner for accepting cookies.
