Total Points on an Assignment keeps resetting to 0

I'm currently having an issue uploading grades for a quiz my students took in class. I created a new assignment under the "Assignments" tab and saved the Total Points as 10. When I go through and add grades for my students (some of which include an extra credit point or two), the assignment automatically resets the Total Points to 0. I've double checked, and I don't currently have the "Weight final grade based on assignment groups" box checked when I go to the Assignments tab. 

What can I do to ensure that these assignments are saving their grade out of 10 possible point, without having it reset to 0 each time?

Hello @CalvinBryan,

I would first try clearing your browser cache and making sure that your browser is up to date as I have experienced some cases before where due to browser caching issues changing made in Canvas did not save properly.

If the Total Points still reset to 0 after you have cleared your browser cache then you can reach out to the Canvas Support team so they can look into your course to see if there are any other factors that could cause the Total Points in your course to be reset.
